Shelley showed promising signs of becoming a talented artist at a young age. In high school Shelley was presented with the Art award in Grade 12. She continued her studies at the University of Guelph and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art in 1988. Since then she has been an accomplished watercolour painter with great attention to detail.

Shelley has been painting and exhibiting her artwork around Southern Ontario since 1990.
